The blast furnace causes global warming , are you agree ?
A blast furnace is a type of metallurgical furnace used for smelting
to produce industrial metals, generally iron. In a blast furnace, fuel, ore,
and flux (limestone) are continuously supplied through the top of the furnace,
while air is blown into the lower section of the furnace, so that the chemical
reactions take place throughout the furnace as the material moves downward. In
the blast furnace, it is so hot that carbon monoxide can be used to reduce the
iron oxide in place of carbon.
In contrast, air furnace are naturally
aspirated usualy by the convection of hot gases in a chimney flue. So, I agree that blast furnace causes global warming.
Global warming is a very serious environmental problem and a
solution should be sought immediately as soon as possible.
Firstly, Global Warming is the increase of Earth's average surface
temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions
from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would
otherwise escape from Earth and it damages the ozone.
This is a type of greenhouse effect. Global warming impacts so many
things in the world such as melting the ice caps that decrease the polar bears
and penguins habitat, rising the seas, melting glaciers and it also increasing
the possibility of disasters to occur on earth, and the season changing will be
undeniable. The causes are many of which the main culprit is the increase in
the greenhouse gases that is produced by burning fossil fuel and deforestation,
thus intensifying the greenhouse effect leading to global warming.
The four main contributors of the greenhouse effect are, water vapor,
carbon dioxide, methane and ozone. Mining for coal and oil releases methane in
the atmosphere. More ever the leakage from natural gas fields and landfills are
additional source of methane.
When deforestation happens the efficiency by which carbon dioxide is
stored and oxygen released by the green plants are decreased to a huge rate in
turn causing increased concentration of carbon dioxide that leads to increased
greenhouse effect. factors that can lead to increased levels of carbon dioxide
in the air, including industrial activity which is not environmentally
friendly.
This is because the industries that use fuel made from coal,
petroleum and natural gas on a large scale. Coal consists largely of carbon,
which when burned it produces carbon dioxide reacts with oxygen. Natural gas
and petroleum hydrocarbons including class, which when burned will produce
carbon dioxide and water vapor . Need special attention from the industry in
order to have the exhaust system exhaust gas and waste the good and not pollute
the environment.
Moreover, Sulfur dioxide gas has long been known as a gas that can
cause irritation to the respiratory system, such as the lenders slaput nose,
throat and airways in the lungs. The health effects become worse in patients
with asthma.
in addition, High levels of sulfur dioxide in the air is one of the
causes of acid rain. Acid rain is caused by sulfur impurities in fossil fuels
and nitrogen in the air reacts with oxygen to form sulfur dioxide and nitrogen
oxides.
These substances diffuse into the atmosphere and react with water to
form sulfur acid and nitric acid soluble so it falls with rain water. The acid
rain water which will increase the acidity of the soil and surface water are
proven harmful to fish and plant life. ways to reduce the impact of global warming
- forestation can be of
great help in this regard.,
- we must follow on
environmental policy of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’, i.e. promoting the reuse of
anything.
- the use of
fuel-efficient vehicles should be promoted as these vehicles have lower
emissions of harmful gases.
- Every individual should
be aware of the importance of the protecting environment.
- Besides, eco- friendly
technologies must be promoted, and must be substituted with the technologies
which cause great emission of global warming gases.
Public awareness campaign
can be of great help in this regard because unless each and every individual is
aware only governments’ effect cannot bring desired difference.
Thanks for sharing these HVAC blog sites. I will get benefit from it in the future.
